Personal Status Cases

The First Federal Personal Status Law No. ( 28 ) of 2005 and its amendments, have been issued to organize the relationship between spouses, divorce cases, inheritance cases and the distribution of inheritance.
Before that, the courts used to refer to jurisprudence in order to settle the marital disputes and financial matters related to family affairs.

In this regard, various courts in the country have adopted the Organizational Procedures Guide of Personal Status Matters, which includes guiding procedures in dealing with family affairs, calculation of nafaqa, and the mechanism of payment.
