Civil Procedures

United Arab Emirates has issued a Federal Civil Procedures Law to be the main governing law which organize the procedures for registering cases, court sessions, issuing judgments, appealing and objection procedures, and all other procedures related to the judicial system. It was followed by consecutive amendments, till the last amendment was issued under Law No. ( 15 ) of 2021.

The majority of the amendments that have occurred to the Procedures Code in terms of the value of the claims in the lawsuits, the jurisdiction of Summary and Plenary courts, as well as cases categories and their formalities, such as the amendments on the appeal periods and differentiate between cheques and receipts in Writs of Performance.
